Registration deadline: February 25th. Hours: 12:30-4pm. Cost: $20/person per session or $95/session. The goal of this series is to help individuals and families gain the knowledge and skills they need to grow food in their own backyards through a series of classroom lessons and hands-on training. Participants can either elect to take the series or go to individual sessions, where they will learn about small-scale food production. This workshop will focus on considerations for site selection including soil type and texture, slope, sun exposure, water access, fencing, etc..., early season activities including selecting plant varieties, scheduling garden activities, anticipating garden expenses, and starting seeds indoors.
